ShareIt is just an inter-phone transmission tool that has zero network traffic and is 60 times faster than Bluetooth. Do you know how it works? It just creates a WiFi hotspot in the sender device and the receiver device automatically connects to that WiFi hotspot to transfer files from the sender device to the receiver device or vice-versa.

What does Zero Network Traffic mean?

Even when you aren't connected to the Internet, you might have seen or experienced ShareIt or other apps being updated after you choose to update through ShareIt. Do you know why? The phrase zero network traffic is related with that. I will give you an example to describe it clearly.

If your device has ShareIt version 2 and another device has version 3 and both devices aren't connected to the Internet, then you can update your ShareIt version to version 3 without having Internet connection. If your device has version 2 and another device has version 3, but the latest version is version 5, then you can't update to version 5 without Internet connection, but you can update to version 3. That's called 'zero network traffic' in ShareIt.
